Malabrigo Mechita is a fine, single-ply 100% superwash merino yarn, known for its softness, beautiful drape, and rich hand-dyed colors. Its lightweight construction makes it a versatile choice for a wide range of projects.

Mechita feels gentle against the skin and is ideal for scarves, accessories, baby and children’s garments, as well as lacework, cables, and lightweight sweaters. The single-ply structure provides lovely stitch definition with a subtle, organic texture.

As with all Malabrigo hand-dyed yarns, color variation is part of its character — sometimes even within the same skein. For best results, we recommend purchasing enough yarn for your entire project and alternating between two skeins when working larger pieces.
